A Tribute to Missy, a Very Special Kitty!

All about our Sweet Loving Missy Well we got Missy from the Colo. Spgs. humane society in May of 1989, she was 3 1/2 years old. She must of had kittens because she was full of milk and leaking. I brought her home and was sure my husband(ex) would say yes that we can keep her, but he said no and I had to take her back first thing monday morning.  My mom had called me at work and saidshe couldn't get Missy out of her mind and wanted to know if I could takeher down there so my mom could get her, I said sure.   If my mom wouldn't of adopted her she would have been put to sleep because she was returned.  My mom had her for 17 years, Missy died of kidney failure, she was 20 yearsold.   Whether you have to put your pet to sleep because of a disease or just because of old age it isn't easy.   You have a pet for that long and it's like putting down one of your own children.   Missy was a very loving andsweet kitty. We will all miss her so very much.   Missy was a fun cat.  Oh yes especially at night.  If you couldn't sleep or even if you could she would keep you company.  I remember so many times I was trying to sleep and she would come in and jump on my bed and want me to scratch her ears, head, etc.  Now she was short hair but boy could she shed.  If you closed the door she would sit out side and meow and take her little paws and bang on the door.  I would always let her in again.  All she had to do was look at me with those blue eyes and she had me and everyone else eating out of her paws.    Missy we love you with all of our hearts, and we are going to miss you so very much.  You brighten up our lives when we were down and out.  You are a very special cat that mom, me  and anyone else who knew you will always remember about you.  But now though we are shedding tears of sorrow for our loss of  you, we must remember that you are in a better place and you will always be with us in our minds, hearts, and souls.  We love you Missy.
